The goal of this project is to build a multi-point interactive whiteboard using the Wiimote, as demonstrated by Johnny Chung Lee.

The logistics are fairly simple, the wiimote connects to to a laptop via it's inbuilt Bluetooth, the laptop then calibrates the wiimote, which tracks an infra-red light source (or several sources, for multi touch) A projector is connected to the laptop and software provided online handles the output of a whiteboard display.

So far I have all the materials for 2 pens 1 pen (forward voltage of the 2nd LED means we'd need an alternative power supply instead of a battery), in case we want to do the head tracking thing as well, neither are fully assembled, but the pens are ready, and I have all equipment needed, so I hope to have at least one completed this week. - Shane 19/05/2008
