Bot Wars - 12th - 13th March 2010
This event is the first of its kind in NUIG. Currently various teams at NUIG are assembling battle bots to fight it out in the ARENA, the Stage, Aras na Mac Leinn in March 2010. If you want to be part of this contact botwars@compsoc.nuigalway.ie or join us to discuss and if you are a student at NUIG build killer machines at our weekly Monday Mashups, The Stage, Aras Na Mac Leinn, 7-9pm.
As part of the competition there will be two competitions:
- BotWars
- Design, Build, Code Challenge
Also attractions on the weekend include:
- LAN Party on Saturday and Sunday
- Metal Gear Solid Drama Production
- Games Room
- Movie Room

Design Build, Code Challenge
This challenge is open to NUIG Students and students at other Irish Colleges (places limited). This one day challenge requires you to use all your skill to design, construct and program a robot in less than a day using a supplied Lego Nxt Kit. More information at botwars_designbuildcodechallenge
