Welcome to the Compsoc website. Many hours of hard work have gone into it to making it as easy to use as possible. It's packed with useful information, cool dynamic features, handy free downloads and we think it looks pretty good too. On top of it all you get more cool features when you join Compsoc and log in.
The aim of the site is to act as a portal for the many members of Compsoc to easily access information about the society and computing in general.
And now the technical stuff ...
This site is produced using xHTML Strict and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). These technologies allow the site to be displayed without the use of any HTML Tables and allow easy alterations to the way the site is displayed.
All the dynamic content generated using Object Oriented PHP and a MySQL database. Webmail facilities are provided using the Horde framework and the IMP mail package.
The people responsible for all the hard work that goes into the site are the webteam. If you have any suggestions you feel may benefit the site or if you spot something that isn't working then feel free to e-mail us at webteam@compsoc.nuigalway.ie.
Enjoy browsing the site.
The original developers of the current site are:
